1992-93 National PTA Reflections Program Imagine That.....
I showed my son a picture of the moon and asked him, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a picnic here?" He told me the story he came up with and I wrote it down. I put him in my lap and called each letter of every word and he typed it into the computer. After 4 hours we had his story ready for the contest. I would like to share it with all of you.
Imagine That....You Were Having A Picnic On The Moon
I would put on my space suit.
Walk around and find a good hole.
Once I find a smooth hole, I gather 4 rocks.
Spread out my blanket and put rocks on each corner.
Open the picnic basket and what do I see:
Grapes, Watermelon, Orange juice and sandwiches.
I try to throw my grapes up in the air and catch them in my mouth...but they fly away.
I eat my watermelon and spit out the seeds and they float right above my head.
I giggle at the seeds.
If I open my orange juice I have to hold my hand over the top so it won't float away too.
I take my hand off the top to get a drink then I eat my sandwich.
After the picnic I roll around on the moon because I won't get dirty there.
Then I look for rocks because you can't collect rocks at the park.
