Success Story |

I've been a member of AD since 2004 but didn't get around to filling out this portion of the personal information until 2006. It's not that I have no successes. I simply wonder what to say and not say.
I suppose the following counts as success. I have a best short story award under my belt for Sunday Dinner published in the Sandhills Literary Magazine. That was a while back however, and I haven't submitted fiction anyplace else since.
My poem Hurricanes of Roosting Birds has been published in the Adagio Verse Quarterly. I've been a featured poet at Poetry Life and Times as well as the monthy interview, and I have a spoken word CD with the poet Aberjhani, produced by Mark Rockeymoore. Other than that, I've written regularly for local newspapers wherever I've lived and am a Contributing Editor for BlogHer.com. Most of all, I have two beautiful children. Each day I look at them, marveling that they are maturing so well and pray that they will be victorious in this world. |
