| Having reached over 300 students throught the Kids Love A Mystery program sponsored by the Mystery Writers of America, I am happy to have been a part of stimulating them to read, and to read mysteries. I have seen some wonderfully creative ways in which the students expressed their pleasure in the reading, e.g. book reports on tee shirts, board games using my book as the topic, and much more. Just the huge number of thank you notes from the students for my visiting them was enough to inform me that there are truly great young students out there. Most important are the teachers who are in the trenches and who inspired the young people to greater heights. The program has been truly an inspiration. |
