I wrote my first fiction, The Morgue, in 1996; it was published in 1998. Although I continued to work on other books, my writing career seemed to be going nowhere. I didn't know how to market my works effectively and was pretty much dead in the water.
And then two things happened that turned things around for me. I began to join writers groups and I became affiliated with AD. Since then my writing has improved and I've learned how to better get myself and my books to the attention of the reading public. I've developed a following and keep them informed of my progress and activities through AD.
I now have six fictions in print and my first nonfiction is scheduled for release in November.
In addition to good writing, you have to get the word out. Thanks to my group memberships and AD, I'm beginning to get the exposure I need to advance my writing career. |
