Success Story |
My first book "The Paragons" was a great success. I have been invited to speak to book clubs, interviewed on television, print news, and radio. I couldn't ask for more, but to writers who might be new at this, success in interest in your book and financial success are two different things. I made money with my first book and some with my second book which is a product of reader's interest. My characters have taken on a life of their own. My most pleasant experience is winning the JADA PRESS Mystery Novel Of The Year in 2004. The money has been spent, but my trophy sits in a special place next to my novels. For us, writers that is, it is the process of writing. We want money, but as the saying goes "If you can find something to do that you are willing to do for free you will be successful." Works for me.
Motherless Child, my new novel. A thirty-five year project. |
