I wrote my first award winning book, Tails of Sweetbrier, after having an unrelenting intuition to write my autobiography so that children might be encouraged to reach for their dreams, even if they're faced by challenges. After my parents were told I'd never walk, my dad refused to accept that opinion. He declared he'd teach me to ride and we'd prove the doctor wrong. We did. Not only did I learn to walk, but also to realize my dream of becoming a champion equestrian. Tails of Sweetbrier shows readers that anything is possible if you don't quit.
Now I have two other children's books published-Charlie the Horse and Charlene the Star. All have received 5-star reviews. My sister, Holly Humphrys-Bajaj, beautifully illustrates all our books. We hope that many children are positively influenced by our books. |
