I began writing eleven years ago at the age of 61 and four years later my wife decided to publish one of the three novels I had written up to that time. That was 7 years ago and now she has published 6 of my novels and 2 of our fairy stories. I was shocked when people demanded a second and third book and two of my novels soon became Canadian bestsellers. Now, my fans just won't let me stop! What a wonderful problem to have! I am thrilled to have discovered this hidden talent if mine and its not a great problem that I can't get enough time on the computer-my wife still has many books unpublished on her computer. Yes I certainly became prolific and thank goodness, I love it! It gives me a chance to persue my favourite hobby ... history, too.
The rest of my time is spent selling my books and meeting the public (and happily, my fans) at outdoor markets and indoor Christmas shows. I am told that one of the reasons my books are so popular is that I have an unusual old-fashioned style and a knack of being able to talk ... to everyone! It certainly helps sales and now that I'm over 70, being an old-fashioned guy gives me a lot of leverage!
