Troubled Nightmares is the first of a series involving Kate Spry, Volunteer and Amateur Sleuth.

Kate, becuase of wanting to help others, finds herself with more problems than she could ever expect.

Because of information about a teenage runaway, she learns why her nightmares have returned.  An old enemy from her hometown realizes that they are connected again, after many years.

Although the enemy plans on harming Kate, he doesn't get  a chance because he is kidnapped by a female gang member who has also helped the teenage runaway.
