That was a really good book! I'm so glad I read it. The imagery was amazing! And the narration, well let's just say that it was practically perfect. You captured his emotions very well, I felt the same loyalty and pain.
I don't know what else to say. I just wish that this book was in hard copy. :) Great writing, great story, I loved the relationship between Buck and Nash! Loooooved it!

Like Paul said, the author managed to capture the emotions of her animal characters better than other authors do with humans! Her descriptions are wonderfully unique.
The imagery is one to die for, It made me feel I WAS in the forest Nashoga lived in. Everything was perfectly enraptured and shown to me in the book. I definitely recommend this book. It is a simple and short read, but it doesn't falls into plain and trite it stays as a work of art in all the sense of the words.

"Nashoga" is a fine tale by a talented writer who manages to capture emotions with her furred characters in a more believable manner than many writers do with humans. It's more than just a talking animals story - "Nashoga" is both a story of survival and love, and it answers a universal question: Can food be friends? I recommend this one especially for the middle-school-age reader.
