Excerpt

As everyone was relaxing towards the end of the night the music began to die down and people began to leave to go to their rooms to rest before they had a long journey home. Everyone was exhausted and was saying their good nights as the people had begun to leave the room there was a giant explosion in the back of the room blowing pieces of stone everywhere in the room. The explosion was so large it knocked many people off their feet with the shock wave. Rysly and Roland were on opposite sides of the room and their father was in another corner as a dark figure walked through the enormous hole in the castle. Behind the figures were three others. Rysly and Roland stood quickly and looked around to see many of their friends doing the same as the twins recognized all four figures as the leader laughed and pulled her hood back.
“Having a party with out me? You know that is very rude.” She said and narrowed her eyes as she looked around seeing everyone separated. Jessica, Louis take care of the others, Marcus, take care of your dear brother for me, I shall deal with these two my self.” She smirked and started walking forward as Rysly and Roland tried to get farther apart so she would have to stop looking at one of them to keep an eye on the other. She smirked knowing what they were doing and in a blink of an eye she was beside Roland throwing him into the wall so hard he slumped to the ground unconscious before she was suddenly in front of her holding her throat. “I told you little girl, you cannot win against me!” She hissed before throwing Rysly across the hard tile floor. “I will teach you a lesson about playing with fire.” She said as she grabbed Rysly and threw her again, this time she hit the wall hard, knocking the air out of her lungs.
“You will not be teaching me anything, I will teach you a few things. You need to learn to actually know who you are fighting.” She smirked as she stood up breathing heavy, whipping blood from the corner of her mouth. “Come on old woman. Or are you too old and don’t want to break a hip.” She chuckled making Amanita more and more angry before she charged at her and the two used their powers as swords clashing back and forth like the last time they had fought. Merlin looked to see Roland unconscious and bleeding slightly from his head against the wall while Rysly fought hard against Amanita using her powers to save herself from several near death hits. He could not watch any longer as Louis came from no where and began to kick and punch him making him pay attention to him and not the two women fighting off to the side.
Arthur looked around quickly to see what was going on while his brother pulled himself from the ground once more. He saw Horatio fighting one of Rysly’s friends, Merlin fighting one of Roland’s friends and then there was a large heavy barrier blocking everyone else form getting involved. He turned back to see Marcus charge again and the two were locked in a duel to the death once again as screams were heard.
Amanita screamed in frustration when Rysly would dodge, counter and just stand back up like nothing had ever happened to her. It looked like there was going to be way to beat her.
“What’s the matter, Amanita? Am I too much for you? I thought you were supposed to be all powerful, you’re fighting me with everything you have and I am barely using any power at all and I’m fighting in a dress that I can barely breathe in in the first place.” She laughed as Amanita became even more angry and tried another failed attempted to even hurt Rysly.
“You are right, perhaps I have underestimated you.” She said low as if trying not to scream and yell in frustration. “Perhaps I should only watch.” She said as she used her power slamming Rysly into the ground then the wall than the ground once again making Rysly take a little longer to get off the ground and giving Amanita enough time to get away from the girl. “Marcus! Come. We shall see what come of this little girl.” She said narrowing her eyes as Rysly stood back up laughing as if she did not hurt at all.
“What’s the matter? Running away from a little girl?!” She yelled across the room making amanita glare at her as the three others jumped behind her and they all disappeared together. After one minute of them being gone the barrier went down and everyone went running as Rysly collapsed to the ground. Her father caught her before she hit the hard ground.
“Rysly. Come on Rysly, open your eyes.” He begged as her eyes slid closed.
“I think we are always going to be in hiding, daddy.” She whispered before she passed out. Everyone gathered around them as Alex brought Roland over to them.
“No. We will find a way to get past this, I promise.” Merlin whispered back to his daughter as he pulled her close and looked own at his unconscious son.
