This is a novel about how spirituality wins. It's your chance to think about why you're here, where you were before you got here and where you're going when you leave -- and be entertained at the same time. Set late in the 21st century, it's a modern, wild, funny, emotional and action-packed spiritual adventure couched in just the right amount of science fiction, the paranormal and fantasy for flavor. Underlying the story, is a combination of ancient, new-thought and original concepts concerning the loving metaphysical nature of being, the purpose of life and what we are each capable of doing during our stay here to help ourselves, each other and the planet.
Through this adventure, HARVEST OF ILLUSION describes, in a logical, interesting and uncommon way, a metaphysical view of:
The source and nature of spirituality, consciousness and soul
The source and nature of the material universe
The source and purpose of material life
The nature and effect of death
The Superconscious (spiritual) Dimension
Entrainment of thought and its power
Mentally healing the physical body
The process of ascension from the Material Dimension
Which of the above are illusion
The Truth about the nature of existence
After reading this unusual and uplifting novel, you will feel good at the end, which is nothing like the beginning.

"[A]n amazing book. I have been a teacher of metaphysics and spirituality for many years and I am always looking for great books to read, particularly good stories that can lift one up and educate and entertain at the same time. This book by George is all of this and more. If you liked The Celestine Prophecy or Conversations With God, YOU MUST read this book. I recommend it with 10 stars."
The Midwest Book Review, James A. Cox, Editor-In-Chief
"... a highly entertaining and enthusiastically recommended novel .... The attention engaging story is about the power of spirituality to transcend the mundane routines that can blind one to infinite possibilities beyond one's immediate life and ordinary physical needs. An open-minded metaphysical story that embraces the concepts of reincarnation .... an engaging and absorbing narration which is especially recommended .... Harvest of Illusion marks George C. Wallach as a deftly talented and original storyteller of considerable expertise."

I expressed my view of the purpose of life in a poem here:
http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewPoetry.asp?AuthorID=123331
I believe everyone has precisely the same purpose of life - the fundamental thing life on this whirling space pebble should accomplish.
We look at a fact, derive meaning, assess value, determine mission, and realize purpose, IN THAT ORDER, if we want to get it right.
I shall discuss all of those in a future article.
Feel free to respond.
