In 2025, life seemed normal until devious plan was set in motion. The rulers had a secret plan to move to the Moon and turn the Earth into their slave colony. First they switched off the electricity and faked their deaths, so no-one would notice their relocation. Vibrations from the Moon dumbed people down, making them into obedient savages, too stupid to see the plot. Generations accustomed to the internet, television, phones, and technology, reduced to basic animal behavior.
But few people paid attention to their thoughts and managed to save their minds from the influence. They were arrested and taken to the Moon as slave prisoners, but no-one noticed they were different. No-one human, that is. Native inhabitants of the Moon saw their potential, and after Rosie, Eric and Ann helped the Mellny save their children from the rulers’ hands, the Mellny decided to return the favor.
With powerful minds and fully evolved, Rosie, Eric and Ann will go back to Earth and try to make a difference. But what can three people do?

Great story!
I expected just another tacky evolution story, but Barbara surprised me because something like this I didn't see coming. Immediately, I fell in love with the characters and even though this is fiction, I drew some parallels with our society. The wonderful thing about Barbara's books is that you feel like you're living in her imaginary world and keep on replaying her plot in your head for weeks.
Personally, I love books that make me think, look at the world I'm in and compare, the books that leave a mark, and which I often bring up in everyday conversations.
I'm sure everyone will be able to recognize themselves in one of the main characters, Rosie, Eric or Ann, and enjoy as much as I did.
Mellny, people of the Moon, should be our goal as humanity, but in my humble opinion, we are nowhere near their state of mind, but we are very close to the state of humanity displayed in the book.
Most Compelling Book I've Read!
My interest was immediately taken by this book! Like "Erased 21", Barbara set up horrifying realistic events that captivated my interest to constantly WANT to know what happened next.Creative, imaginative plots, and constant battles between power hungry charters, disastrous natural events, as well as the struggle between reality and conformity were scattered throughout the book. The message and theme of the book was most compelling, more so than any book I've ever read.I would definitely love to read this book many more times in the future!
