Were The First Americans Were Africans? New Book rewrites history of Western Hemisphere
Book Review from The Daytona Beach News Journal:
PUBLISHER'S REVIEW
A new book is contradicting what out school textbooks have included for ages and could change the way history is written about the Western Hemisphere.
In "The First Americans Were Africans" author and academic David Imhotep Ph.D., is bringing forth decades of research and solid evidence to present readers a comprehensive look into history and identity of the first Americans. Asserting that the Africans were the first Americans and that they arrived 51,000 years before the Mongolian, Chinese. Imhotep illustrates a date that is four times earlier than what is largely referenced.
"Africans not only came before Columbus, but were in the Americas long before any other group, at least 56,000 years ago," says Imhotep. "With this book, I produce and expand upon evidence from several scientific fields, credible scholars, professionals and researchers."
Imhotep's extensive research and gathering of evidence is in part a product of his academic training, university-level teaching and extensive world travel. The first person to hold a doctorate with a specialization in ancient African history, Imhotep credits the creation of his book will help to lift what he calls the "veil of secrecy" over American history.
Expanding on a foundation of research and historic evidence, "The First Americans were Africans" provides insight to remnants of architecture, writings and artifacts as it explores the beliefs surrounding the Vikings, Columbus, the Indians and more. With more than 700 footnotes, Imhotep intends for it to also serve as a guide for future research.
"The first Americans came to this land far before what we have been taught," he says. "This changes the way history has been written, and fills a void that has long existed."
David Imhotep Ph.D. received his doctorate from Union University in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2008.
His thesis, which is identical to his title, is drawn from seven peer-reviewed articles.
Excerpt
The man on the cover of this book is one of the last original Americans. The picture was taken by the crew of The HMS Challenger expedition, 1872-1876 A.D. at the most Southern region of South America, in Tierra del Fuego. It hangs today in the Natural Museum of London. Africans were in the Americans far before any other group, at least 60,000 years ago. We will go through evidence exposed by a panel of credible scholars, professors and researchers. The evidence lies in several different scientific fields.
Do not forget the Egyptians. They were also here far before the Vikings or Columbus. They left structures above and below the waves in far away places in North America. From the East to the West Coasts; from the valleys to mountain tops that still carry their names. You will read about remnants of their artifacts, writings, architecture and more.
