Borrowed Time
I will live today and put not so
much focus on the future.
Pray for the Lord to keep from
harm's way, whatever bad times
that fall on me I hope to endure.
I will not rush too soon into
tomorrow's sunrise.
We quickly forget our time is only
borrowed,
that morning light may never
meet our eyes, and we might not see
tomorrow.
To never awaken again to another sunrise.
Plans, future goals, gone forever,
jobs, meetings, bosses, or even a fax.
Those things will be given to another, so learn to let go and relax.
So while the sun still rises for you
and us all, do not be alive and just
existing.
When you are done with the daily work haul, life is meant to be lived while
we are living.
Live your life and love each day,
because we may never see tomorrow.
Live today for today,
and enjoy your time borrowed.
