In a small town in Virginia, a terrible and unimaginable accident occurs at a secret government research facility. A deadly virus is released into the air upon the unsuspecting residents of the town. The residents of this typical American town are transformed into horribly disfigured flesh-eating and mindless mutants. What was once a sunny slice of southern American heaven is transformed in minutes into a dark vision of hell. When darkness falls, chaos ensues as the residents struggle with their humanity as they are being transformed into something not human….
Excerpt
The two cars meet head on, causing the trailer to over turn but only causing minimal damage to the truck itself. The force of the impact knocks Ravens car several dozen feet away, totaling the car itself and throwing Raven through the windshield and from the car. He is thrown several feet into the air and finally lands onto the paved highway, a few dozen feet away. Other cars on the road who were witness to the events unfold, immediately stop and rush to Ravens side. The truck driver as well gets out of his truck and rushes to check on Raven.
“What the hell is wrong with that guy, he just hit me head on!” The Truck Driver says, shocked and confused as to what just happened.
“I don’t know, he must be crazy or had some sort of diabetic attack.” One passerby says, as they all stood around Ravens motionless body on the ground. One of the men kneels down to check to see if Raven is still alive.
“I never seen anything like that before. I’ll call an ambulance.” The Man said as he pulls out his cell phone and dials 911, all the while looking upon Ravens bloodied body, lying amongst the wreckage and shattered glass. He has contusions and lacerations over his face and body. Possibly even a concussion and brain damage, he tells the operator and then he asks the man kneeling down if Raven is alive. Just as he does rain begins to fall down upon the men. The down pouring rain begins to wash everything away, it starts to put out the fire that has engulfed Raven sports car.
“Well is he alive?” The Other Man asks, desperately wanting to know the answer to his question.
The kneeling man just looks up at the other three men with a somber look upon his face and with the sadness in his eyes. As the rain water falls down on them all, while Ravens wrecked car burns and with the flashing lights and sounds of sirens from the approaching emergency vehicles in the background. He says two little words that will change everything forever: “He’s dead.”

One of the WORST written books I have ever read. The story line is decent but it was not carried out very well.
The minor thing I had noticed was the author was being very redundant. He kept repeating the same point over and over in a single dialogue..the readers aren't stupid. Once you say they are going somewhere, you don't need to repeat it 3 times in a single paragraph.
The biggest complaint is that the author and his editing team DO NOT know how to SPELL!!!!! You have no idea how much this bothers me when a published author doesn't know the basics. In my opinion if you are published and are making a living doing this then you should know the differences between:
Know vs No
Threw vs Through
Too vs To
Then vs Than
The above happen on NUMEROUS occasions, not just a single typo. And to add to the list...
Blood CLOTS, it doesn't CLOUT
A little research goes a long way too. Patients are given IVs..which stands for intra venous, they are not given an "ivy" as written by this author.
