SYNOPSIS: Jacqueline Devore had never traveled to Paris, nor studied it, but when she began dreaming about life in 1940's France, a hellish life under Nazi occupation, she felt as though she had lived in another time. She could not shake the haunting memories of Michelle Godin, her dream counterpart. She vividly recalled how Michelle's longing to hold her unborn twins in her arms was crushed by a false arrest and imprisonment at the detainment camp in Drancy. Despite the dark days, she also reveled in Michelle's hope to survive and ultimately protect her twins. With the assistance of several friends and an eccentric psychic, Jacqueline tried to understand her ongoing dreams. Her attempts, however, brought life-threatening repercussions as she is stalked and chased by an assailant who knows the truth, and who will kill to keep it from being revealed to the world.

INSIDE COVER: When Michelle regained consciousness, she was strapped to a surgical table. A blinding light was shining into her eyes, searing into them, burning after images that would exist eternally. Tubes were hooked into her arms and her chest, her head ached, and she could hear a baby crying, but she couldn't locate the baby's origin. Panic overwhelmed her and she tried to move her head, tried to locate her newborn, but her head was strapped solidly in place. More desperate than before, she struggled to move, to see where she was, but her limbs were bound to obstetrical bars."Where am I?" she finally called out.Myzel came into view. "You're in Mengele's lab." Blood spots coated Myzel's uniform and sadness filled her eyes."My babies, are they...?" she couldn't complete her question."They're here too," Myzel replied, choking back her emotions.

Jani Brooks, Romance Reviews Today
...Ms. Jordan's well-written psychic drama has heroic characters who are difficult to forget, in particular the singularly brave and inspiring, Michelle, whose devotion to her children goes beyond the grave.
An inspirational story, SHADOWS IN TIME, is also a thriller that will grab you quickly and keep your interest to the last line. Well researched, with strong characters, this is a not-to-be-missed novel.

A story that will keep you reading. A story worth reading more than once.
This is a very interesting story and worth taking the time to read it slowly as it will make you feel the suffering of people from another lifetime. A very realistic look at life in a concentration camp and its attendant horrors. All readers should bear in mind, however, that this is a story of hope and the deepest love a human can feel for another human--mother love. I am pleased to recommend this book as a great read. Enjoy

I well remember the horrors of World War II and have done some reading re Herr Eichmann and Dr. Mengele. With your background and training, this promises to be a tension-filled dramatic read. I only hope my "weak knees" will hold up. Time Shadows is definitely on my "To read" list!
It must be tough sleeping at nights.
Love and comfort to you,
Richard |
