A chance meeting on a train leads steady, cautious Jeff into a world of kinky sex and uninhibited love as beautiful, deranged Sylvia takes him to the wild side and then tempts him to explore way beyond the sane limits of human sexuality. Surrender explores what can happen to the mind’s equalibrium when normal control mechanisms are overridden. Extreme and violent sex acts are described explicitly but not gratuitously, even so some readers may find the intensity of the ending quite disturbing.

When Carrie is on the verge of letting her dreams slip away and starting to descend into a boring old age an unexpected visitor reawakens her zest for life but reminds her of her own mortality.
