Fiction

The Case of the Just and Pure Mirage. A Hilarious thriller. A deterrent to anyone who ever thought or running
away from home.

The hilarious experiences of a two- gun toting Private Detective, Foxx Wise and his assistants, Gravedigger and Lonesome Pyle. They are trying to catch the wily illegitimate daughter of the human emulsifier, Sam Spade. The early teenager and her friend, sick of their putrid home life, have run away to find The Just and Pure Mirage, a person or thing whom they are convinced offers them the lifestyle they dream of and which they feel they deserve. Instead, they discover the world from which their struggling parents have shielded
them all their life, and from which Foxx Wise and his men must save them
or face the wrath of Sam Spade. A hillarious novel for teenagers through
adult.

Excerpt

The sign on the opaque glass in the office door read Foxx Wise, Private Eye. A diminutive fellow, swallowed by his executive office chair, had sat behind his Army surplus office desk from early that morning. He was reading a book, The Adventures of Sam Spade by Sam Spade. However, for the last few moments, the little fellow's attention had been diverted a bit. It was the steps. Fast, quick, and clicking steps, the type made by a woman's high heels. They had tretched from what he assumed was a parked car across the street from his open second floor window. They appeared briefly in the hallway downstairs, then they rushed up the stairs. Then they headed back toward his second floor front office. Her name, of course, was God-what-a-dish.
