On Christmas Eve 2002, a 67-year-old woman is murdered in her home in an exclusive Las Vegas neighborhood. Detective Steve Garneau is assigned to the case. He quickly learns the victim had a colorful past: In the 1960s she ran the best whorehouse in Sin City.
While trying to determine the motive for the killing, Steve’s investigation takes him back in time to the days when the mob ran Vegas. He discovers that sometimes there was little difference between the criminals who broke the law, and the badge-carriers charged with enforcing it.
