Paranormal Romance with lots of action, adventure and romance.

Samantha Wells has lived through more hell in her short life than most. At the age of eight her serene life was turned upside down. Her parents were brutally murdered and Sam barely escaped with her life. But she didn't do it alone - a soft calm coice led her to safety, the voice of her spirit guide.
Disguised by a black mask and the handle Black Smoke, with the help of her spirit guide Sam rescues those unfortunate people who find themselves in the hand of humanity's worst. Life is good until Sam is called on to assist a small covert military team in recovering a kidnapped scientist in Afghanistan.

Lt. Mark Lowe (Kong) is less than thrilled to be placing his team's lives in the hands of a woman, much less one as beautiful and sexy as Sam. He quickly learns there is more to this woman than meets the eye. She not only infiltrates enemy bases - she's infiltrated his heart. Kong retreats to safer ground, leaving Sam heartbroken. Distand and unwilling to listen to anyone, Sam delves headfirst into a hell that only Kong can pull her from.

Excerpt

Sam pulled herself together and started talking. "Let her go. You can have me, but let her go."
The man studied her a moment. The voice was female, but the fighting was male. With the rifle pointed directly in her face, he pulled her mask off. Surprise flashed through his eyes, then an evil smile. "A woman," he said in broken English. "Where are my men?"
Sam smiled herself. "Dead."
The man's face sobered. The way she smiled when she said it made a cold chill run down his back. "You lie," he shouted.
She looked over at the man slumped against the wall. "Do I?"
"You will die for what you have done." He pointed rifle at her head.
Sam braced her back against the wall and stood. "Maybe. Are you going to kill me without interrogating me first?" As she spoke, she moved slightly toward the other wall. If she could get his back to the window, Kong would be able to take him down.
"Don't move," the man yelled. "Get back where you were. When Sam didn't move, he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back.
Boomer and Kong watched the scene play out. Kong clenched his jaw when the man laid his hands on Sam. It was time to end this.
"I will play with you before I kill you," the man said. "Women are good for only one thing. American women are garbage."
"you really want to take me on?" Sam said tipping her head to the side. "Bring it on."

Black Smoke Fallen Angel Reviews
I'm not even sure where to start as I discuss a book that moved me in more way sthan I can count. With so many people putting their hats into the writing arena I find it harder and harder to find books that really tell a "story". Black Smoke is without a doubt a well thought out creation with explosive chemistry, mind-blowing action sequences and a love story that was painful but achingly beautiful to experience. Sam a true heroine, living through the pain of death and using the spirit she was blessed with to help people in parts of the world most would love to forget existed. Her "Kong" was a true hard head, fighting his love as hard as he fights vicous enemies; he was roughened gem that just needed a little time, care and polish to make him realize he was more than a fighting machine. Rounding out this star-studded cast is a protective and loving uncle, and teammates Ricochet and Boomer, thre men who any woman would be lucky to have in her corner.
This is a story that takes the world's current turmoil and brings it home into our living rooms, giving a slight glance at what men and women in uniform and out may be experiencing across the oceanic waters. Robin Leigh Miller created something powerful but full of hope, passion and extreme courate. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Black Smoke Joyfully Reviewed.com
Black Smoke is fast paced, action filled and absolutely, totally fantastic! I couldn't put Black Smoke down because both the story line and the characters are incredibly believable. The instant attraction between Sam and Mark is wonderful to see althought they fight it because, as all covert operatives know, the mission omes first when lives depend on them doing their jobs. One of the things that I truly loved about Black Smoke is that the sotry didn't end after the mission. There was a lot more afterward, not only the relationship between Sam and Mark but also a lot of adventure outside of it. Sam's relationship with and getting to know Ricochet and Boomer added a lot to the story, as did hearing th rough both action and voice how much her spirit guide cared for her. Black Smoke is one of the best books I've read in a long time and it's also one that I will be reading again and again. I'm hoping that Robin Leigh Miller well be writing more books with these four incrdible characters, they'll be an auto buy for me. For lovers of action and romance, I Joyfully Recommend Black Smoke.
