The Birthday Rite
The time to celebrate is at hand
The kind who hesitate will move like wet sand
So, get me a wedding cake
Oh no, I made a mistake
It's my friend’s birthday
And there is no way (I'm gonna miss this)
Can't really fill the wish list
But between all of us showing up
I don't think any could be pissed
It's like the best day on Earth
To celebrate one's own birth
And my friend has this life filled with girth
Better than most, and fostering the Self worth
That will lead to the great time
Here in this paradigm
In which life is fine
And the align of sun follows the line
Representing the sign that matches best
Your kind on the circle that some find to represent
Times present, future, past tense
Hence, this day is love
And share with as many
Hugs so that plenty
Of life's joys will flood
And overfill in one's life
So this is yours, the day, the night, the will to do what's wrong (or what's right) without thinking twice
That's your Birthday Rite.
