The third joint work by Brian Hartford & Peggy McCardle blends a fictionalized history with a fast-moving plot and frightening high-tech warfare.

The heroes, a desperately writer’s-blocked one-hit author, Rex, and his editor and friend, Pam, find adventure at a local restaurant. At the Timpano Chop House, they overhear a conversation and Pam recognizes as an obscure Chinese. Rex and Pam decide to investigate, and witness two brutal gangland-style killings which launch them on a wild adventure. They follow the trail of a secret weapon system through multiple countries the mountains of Tibet. It is an intricate story of treachery, revenge, betrayal, terrorism, stolen codes, high tech weaponry, and love. Several characters are from from their second book, "ECHO! FIVE! HOTEL!"
