I watched him as he sat across from me. His eyes were already lit up as if he could see us climbing up the side of a ship out in the Bay, and as if he was already talking to the Captain to see if he was telling us the truth. But the captain changed even as I watched him, and now he was a rough looking man in a striped tee shirt, a knife stuck in his belt, and he had a black patch over his eye, and he snarled at us, and pointed a bent and gnarled forefinger at me and yelled in a gravelly deep voice, "Blimey, toss those landlubbers into the drink, my hearties."
