This biography about Annette Martin begins when she first discovered her psychic gift at age seven. James N. Frey brings her life story in this 'engaging' account of Annette's mysterious adventures filled with tales of ghosts and murders galore in the 'Gift of the White Light'.
For over 39 years, Annette Martin has used her psychic ability, the Gift of the White Light, to help thousands of people, including movie stars, CEO’s of companies, doctors, lawyers and well known personalities answer everyday questions concerning heart, career, health, emotional issues, departed loved ones, as well as assisted police agencies and the FBI in solving crimes, convict criminals, and locate missing persons. Over 9 of her cases are described in detail in this book. She is frequently featured on national and international radio and TV shows for her ghost hunting as well as her police work.
Martin has helped more than 60 law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, solve heinous crimes. She has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC, NBC, CBS ‘s 48 Hours, Court TV’s Psychic Detective, Nancy Grace, BBC, Catherine Crier, Discovery Channel, Montel Williams, History Channel, and many other television and radio shows.
Martin often channels Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet, who she has dedicated the book to, when giving health readings.
Her predictions are uncannily accurate.
She is the first Psychic to be sworn in as an expert witness in a murder case.
In a reading requested by John Denver, Martin saw him flying a small craft that would tumble into the ocean. Fifteen years later he would die exactly that way.

Chapter One
HOW I MET ANNETTE AND
THOUGHT SHE WAS WEIRD
The first time I met Annette Martin was at a birthday party for a friend who was pretty weird herself. The party was held at a restaurant, Lou's Village, one Sunday evening in San Jose, California. My friend had said that a really super psychic was coming to her party and that I ought to meet her, that she was America's greatest living psychic. She said perhpas I'd seen her on "Montel Williams" or "48 Hours," one of those guest shows on TV. My friend said this psychic was the real deal: Martin had taught classes in parapsychology at the University of Hawaii and at Stanford; she had her own radio show on KGU Hawaii; and she had been studied by a panel of medical doctors who verified her abilities. The FBI used her a couple of time, she said - once on the Patty Hearst case.
I write for a living, both fiction and nonfiction, and I am always eager to meet people who are, let us say, in odd occupations, be they chimney sweeps, corporate spies, or circus clowns. A psychic? Why not?

Annette Martin's bio - an amazing read, April 3, 2009
By ellen "ellen in atlanta" (Atlanta, Georgia USA) - TOP 500 REVIEWER
I usually do not read bios. Reading and reviewing the books from my friends at the Shameless Self Promotions forum here as well as the 40 authors I follow keeps me pretty busy with the thriller genre I love to read.
But I also am a student of the metaphysical - My early influences were Edgar Cayce, and Arthur Ford, now Kathleen Tucci -
So when made aware of this biography beautifully written by James N. Frey, I started reading the book when I received it and continued for about 80 pages. That is always a sign to me it's a winner of a book.
I am ashamed to say I'd not seen any of Ms. Martin's works, although have seen Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State, and the others on A&E and the Biography Channel and Discovery Channel. Perhaps some of the programs I have seen have had her cases - will be on the lookout from now on! I see she has been on also on Court TV and Nancy Grace.
Annette Martin knew she had a special gift - she always surrounded herself with the White Light of God when she slept. Her psychic abilities blossomed when she met her Spirit Guide - Cama -
She married and moved all over the world, and in those places, she helped people - as well as working with the FBI, police and others to help solve crimes, give details, and locate missing people (some dead).
Ms. Martin sometimes channels Edgar Cayce, whom I mentioned was a big influence of mine. She has worked with physicians to help pinpoint hard to find illnesses and she has also been tested under controlled circumstances.
She also is an accomplished opera singer and has sung all over the world.
What a bunch of talents combined in a petite pretty lady!
Mr. Frey chronicles Ms. Martin's life and influences and we feel a knowledge of a truly gifted lady who knows the tremendous importance of encompassing yourself in the pure White Light of God.
A great bio.
A well-written book about a remarkable woman, September 30, 2008
By Courtland Lewis "American Variety Radio" - See all my reviews
It's unusual to find a book written in a straightforward, clear, matter-of-fact way on this subject which is so often cloaked in foggy New-Age mysticism. But James Frey's engaging biography of Annette Martin is just that. And the book's style reflects the style of its subject, who is a delightful, sunny, very down-to-earth person. Annette was recently a guest on my radio show, American Variety, heard on NPR-affiliate stations in Central and South Florida, and we had a great time talking about the adventures on which her special gift has led her. She's the real deal, and I'd recommend this book to anyone.
Loved it!, September 30, 2008
By Ruffhouse "Parahub Radio Host" (central Florida) - See all my reviews
"Gift Of The White Light" is a great journey through Annette Martin's adventures as a psychic detective. It is an excellent read for both lovers of crime stories and psychic mediums alike. Annette is a wonderful person with lots of fascinating stories to tell from her decades of work. James N. Frey captures the essence of each story vividly. I highly look forward to a second book!
