Simplicity Bridge uses the Cavendish style 4-deal rubber bridge format to introduce new bridge players to our game. The material is presented in book form, but the first chapter is provided free from this site, and a video of the chapter is planned. In that one chapter are complete, easy to follow instructions for playing a basic form of contract bridge. That way folks who are interested can try it with some friends in the privacy of their home, dorm room, or student union coffee shop. In order to learn and play the game four players, a card table or similar table (a four person coffee shop table is perfect), a deck of cards, and pencil or pen and paper. It's best to do only a couple of hours at a time so that students don't tire, and the instruction is organized in chukkers and rubbers to allow for taking breaks.
