streams, and creeks running together and joining into
and becoming something greater than its individual self.

from that first initial kiss
the moment of eternal bliss
where i melted upon your lips
watery into the river’s current
i felt it run, the liquefy
sliding down my inner thighs
behind my knees and beyond the calves
over the heels and under the arches
then stretched ahead as a forest path
