If you are bewildered by the capability of 19 men who destroyed the World Trade Buildings in a plan seemingly too simple to succeed, then you will be completely intrigued by the ability of one man to bring down the economy of the United States.
Capitalism is the undeniable heartbeat of America and just about everyone is enamored by the wind song of greed. Business and government leaders, mesmerized by wealth, power and feelings of superiority do not see the ruination they are bringing down on our country. This is a story of the blind leading the blind over the precipice, and the consequences of apathy.
The signs of decline are everywhere. The export of jobs, factories and industries when combined with the proliferation of low paying service jobs has resulted in the decimation of the middle class and a decline in our standard of living. Meanwhile, a deluge of cheap foreign goods and the exploitation of millions of illegal immigrants have effectively hidden the negative financial effects of globalization. At the same time, the mismanagement of our money supply and the devaluation of the dollar have eroded the meager savings of most Americans while setting the stage for future hyper inflation.
These signals are not coincidental. Rather, they are a product of government and corporate sponsorship of the capitalistic concept of profits at any cost.
Many would claim that capitalistic self destruction is an oxymoron; that it is impossible for the world's most successful economy to obliterate itself. Unfortunately, nobody accounted for Todd Robbins whose life is forever altered by the for profit execution of his father. He vows to destroy the American economy using only the basic precepts of a system grounded in greed. The signs of financial turmoil are supportive of his elaborate scheme to destroy America.
David Paine witnesses these same signs and embarks on an activist crusade to save America from its errant economic system. His message of hope mobilizes tens of millions of supporters.
In this age of financial turbulence, this novel is a frightening reminder of the need for constant vigilance. There can be only one winner in this battle for the hearts and minds of Americans. Together, we must decide if our future path takes us to a renewed prosperity or onto the arduous road to the third world.

| I hope we are going into the Third World. Cannot we fight the system somehow and turn it around. Get rid of those money hungry greed people who are trying to destroy us somehow. Prayers to God should help if enough people pray each day. What is the world coming too, less money, less fuel, less people, are we all going to be eliminated by 3rd world powers? |

| This is a novel, a work of fiction that could easily pass for non fiction given our current economic problems. |
