That I May Know You is a loving, spiritual interpretation of how one can have a "divine romance" with God. Terry Michaels gives the reader an opportunity to explore the simplicity of knowing a life filled with God's amazing power.
Designed to provide the reader with a desire to have a more intimate relationship with God, Michaels relates Moses' connection to God.
"Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You..." Moses Prayer. (Exodus 33:13).
Michaels' book gives examples of topics relating to worship: relationship and prayer, and being peaceful and still to know and hear God. Michaels invites you to leave a spiritual wasteland and know the joy of a deep intimacy with the One who loves us like no other.
That I May Know You offers no gimmicks, instead it is designed so that anyone can apply Michaels' principles to live and desire a God-based life.

LAW
While God’s laws are helpful in protecting us from one another, they serve a much higher purpose. They measure the distance between man and his Maker. Sin creates distance while law only reads the distance. This is not so God can gauge things, but so we can. Law shows the lawbreaker he is far from where he needs to be. But law cannot correct this distance. It offers only an appraisal. You may want to think of the law as a thermometer. It can show you that you’re sick and maybe even the degree of your sickness, but a thermometer cannot make you well. No doctor will tell you, “Take two thermometers and call me in the morning.” Once we get our reading from the thermometer, we look to the physician to make us well. This is exactly how the law works. We have a Great Physician who desperately wants to heal us. Not only does He desire to heal us, He longs to befriend us. He has gone through great measures to bring us into fellowship with Himself. Yet sin keeps us poles apart! We wouldn’t fully realize this if weren’t for the law.
