The Road to Damascus is my second collection of poems, and though his collection allowed me to travel the same redemptive and contemplative path as my first collection, it contains what was then, new works.
During the creation of this collection, I was traveling an inward path, one that granted me the opportunity to delve into the, deeper me, and not to sound too "over the top", I was given the gift of being able to come to know me better, and I am grateful for that.

While The Road to Damascus portrays the same thematic poetry as my first collection, I believe that my artistic maturation is expressed strongly in this collection, and this truth is showcased in many of the pieces. I believe that the readers of this book will enjoy the varied poetic perspectives on love, happiness, loss, spirituality and the human condition.

Professional Reviews
Maria Moore, Author of 'Southern Summers' and 'If A Kid Ruled the World'
"From the moment that I began reading The Road to Damascus, I was enthralled. I couldn't put this collection down. As I read Mekael's work, I became magnetized and thirsty for more. His gift for creating magical lyrical verses, is definitely Heaven sent. I say with a heart that's awed, that I was rendered speechless by the power of this collection."
Michael Whitaker, Poet
"Mekael's ability to paint a poetic picture, is what confirms this collection as a possible classic. I was touched by the depth of each poem in this book, as they told a story that's very much in progression, Mekael's life's story. I often recommend his books and anticipate doing so throughout the course of his career."
Lynn Berry, Book Reviewer
"I am personally drawn to poetry that sparks fires within the spirit, and I am professionally drawn to poetry that challenges its readers. Mekael's work has the ability to do both, and in my opinion, this is what helps to make viable, Mekael as an Artist."

| What I love about the Road To Damascus is that it's you spread out over each and every page. The pieces about your sons pulls at the heart, while the pieces on the spiritual aspect of whom you are, screams "healing!" I bought a copy and gave it to my Pastor and he can't get enough of it. |
