"Poetry Pokey: Poems of an Internet Age" is a collection of poetry written by an avid IRC user and poet. The poems cover a wide variety of subjects, from internal musings to friendship over the internet.
This particular collection of poems includes some earlier works. They cover a wide range of topics and may vary in type.
One piece in particular, "(My Moo Moo Does The) Poetry Pokey" was inspired in part by Tommy James and the Shondells' song "Hanky Panky" and the traditional song "Hokey Pokey" and also in part by a dear friend who helped me discover the joys of expressing myself in verse. In recognition of this, I decided to use this as the title piece. Coverart is an illustration based on this piece. It was also created and designed by me, in paint shop pro.

Pen n Ink
Assume what ya want
assume what ya will
I write with a pen
and not a quill.
all these ideas
hard to think
I better get them down
before I run out of ink
my thoughts
do wander from time-to-time
I best hurry
and finish my rhyme
this little ditty
I wrote tonight
did give some people
quite a fright
this stuff doth wander
to and fro
ah to forget
but end up remembering though
I care not
what most think
I like my pink
pen and ink!
