Mind Stimulating Book
I think that one reason that a lot of people find it difficult to learn about history in school or in workshops -- is that it is often presented in a complicated way...with big thick books to read -- long lectures (and such). And another reason is that a lot of BLACK HISTORY is either left out -- or limited in what is in the books.
And then some of the teachers often stand up in front of the room talking about events of the past -- but it tends to get boring after too much lecturing.
But this author presented this material in a very interesting, but simple way. She made it much easier to learn and understand. It is good.
When I opened the book...I saw that there were many things that were very interesting to me. I started using this workbook to test my own knowledge by writing in my responses to some of the ideas and picture. Just doing that stimulated my mind -- made me more curious. I now am motivated and want to learn a lot more about my own history. This book offers a fun way to do some studying on your own...or use it in a class too.
