In this sequel to, America 20XX: The New World Order, the battle between American patriots and Islamic jihadists rages. These battles escalate to world order, even into the Jezreel Valley in Israel. Armageddon.

The Battle of Armageddon will be a colossal event. It will create killing and blood flowing on an unimaginable scale. That battle will be the climax before the earth becomes revitalized. But what will set the stage for that battle? According to prophesy, it will begin with a man recognized for peace, from an uncertified origin, who mocks the Bible.

Before that battle, a man offering world peace will emerge. As a man of peace he will be loved by millions who will support him. This Great Deceiver, a man of voice, will promise to protect the planet and give sustenance to all those who support his rule. To show their loyalty, they must accept his mark which allows them to share the wealth of the world. But what does he demand when world resources decline and world population increases. His demands become inhuman. But, his voice and populous appeal make those demands seem logical to his followers.

Step by step this story reveals why the Beast described in the Bible really exists and who it might be. Does he exist today? Will you recognize him? Can we change that Armageddon prophesy? Look around today and believe what you see, not just what you hear. He is a man of great words and persuasive voice: as prophesy identifies him, he is the Great Deceiver.

The Apostle John, in the Book of Revelation, gives a clue to the identity of this beast.  He said, "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is 666." John did not say interpret or decipher or solve the number. He said "count" the number of the man. Taking that literally - counting - is 6+6+6. That equals 18. Now, count the letters in a man's name to understand who John said would be the 'beast.' In John's confirmation that the number is 18, he gave this information in Revelation 13:18. It was verse 18, the last verse in Chapter 13.

Three bearded men armed with AK47s guarded ten children, seven boys and three girls, lined up facing the bus. They appeared seven to twelve years old. Four other men were tying their hands behind their backs. When they finished, the men tied each child to a single rope, keeping them four feet apart. When they finished they propped their weapons against the bus, chatted a moment, then lit cigarettes.
“What the hell are they doing?” Pete asked.
“I’m afraid to answer that,” Carl replied. “I can’t believe any real human would do something like that; but, perhaps we’re not dealing with humans. They must be some kind of beast, or that beast’s offspring.”
“What beast is that?” Bobby asked.
“That beast; the one with the mark.”
“Maybe we need that Jewish general Marty told us about to help us. I know what you’re thinking they plan to do.”
“They’re coming this way,” Carl said. “Let’s move.”
They crawled back far enough not to be seen, then ran two hundred yards along the trail until they met Mark. Mark said after everyone was in the cave he secured it well so it couldn’t be found unless someone knew it was there, then he asked what had happened. Bobby answered he wouldn’t believe what those inhuman bastards were doing. “They’re coming this way using those kids as hostages___human shields.”
Pete added, “They’re that damn determined to wipe us out. Obviously, they’ll do whatever it takes, without regard for anything, or anybody, or God.”
“Maybe not,” Carl replied. “It seems one God says it’s okay to do whatever it takes to make everyone believe in Him; kill all those who don’t believe, the infidels, no matter how young they are.”
Mark said, “They don’t even have to be unbelievers. Those bastards murder their own kind if they happen to be in the way, or be an inconvenience; innocent victims who worship their same God.”
“The sky’s got darker and it’s starting to rain,” Pete commented. “I knew rain was coming when the sky got so dark.”
Returning to the moment, Pete looked at Carl and asked what they should do. Carl shook his head as he said he didn’t know. He paused again then said they might have to make a horrible decision, a choice that might burden their hearts forever.
Mark said, “We can’t do that, no matter what happens to us. I saw my family shot down. I never want to see anything like that again.”
Carl replied, “If we go down, what will happen to many others in our area? Hundreds more might be killed.” Mark looked long into Carl’s eyes as he remained quiet. Carl said they would fall back along the flanks enough to be safe, but close enough to watch. He added that the rain might determine how quickly they advanced. “If it rains heavy enough we might take out a few in closer quarters.”
They retreated along the flanks just far enough away to see flecks of movement through the flora. Carl and Bobby were on one side and Mark and Pete on the other. As the sky got darker and the rain heavier the invaders reached an intersection with two other trails, creating a higher round area unprotected by trees.
The two men leading the group started off the trail to seek shelter under two nearby oak trees, but stepped into deep water. They looked around and saw their open island of high ground was surrounded by ankle-deep water. The jihadists moved to the center of the higher ground and forced the children to form a circle around them near the water’s edge.
The children faced outward cringing forward into little human balls trying to hide their heads from the beating rain. The men stood guarded with their weapons raised as if pointing at the unseen enemy beyond the rain’s hidden canopy.
Squinting at the blurred images in the clearing, Mark said this might be an opportunity to do something; take one or two out. “That would cut down the odds a little. We could aim high to make sure we didn’t hit any of the kids.”
“That’s still too risky,” Pete replied. “These guns have a big recoil and could jerk the trigger on the next shot when it kicks, especially when the grip’s wet and slick. It’s not worth the gamble.”
Mark’s comment intending to agree with Pete was interrupted by a loud thunderclap following lightening bright enough to present those on the open trail as an illuminated stage show. The children ducked even lower to escape the flashing danger that left their hair raised from the residual static electricity lingering in the moist air.
“Sonofabitch!” Mark exclaimed. “That was too damn close. I hope we’re not under the tallest tree.” Immediately after he spoke, a single lightening bolt glided straight down to the center man standing with his raised weapon. Before the thunder arrived, it hit his head then radiated out to five others, appearing to tie them together with golden spokes of a wheel. Those six men fell immediately, smoke rising from their charred bodies. The two live gunmen looked at their fallen comrades with only a quick blink then dashed back on the trail, in retreat, as another lightening bolt struck their empty footsteps.
Standing in awe on the other side of the trail Carl said, “God spoke.”
Bobby replied, “Yeah, loud and clear. Maybe that Jewish general showed up with a bigger gun.”
Carl and Bobby met Mark and Pete in the clearing. They hesitated only long enough for Carl to tell Pete to stay with the kids while they pursued the other two. As they rushed up the trail Bobby said it might be dangerous to move too fast.
Carl replied, “I don’t imagine they’ll think about ambushing us. They’re just thinking about getting their asses out of this forest fast as they can.”
