Excerpt
The shrill sound of an alarm woke Tyler from his deep sleep. He yawned as he reached over to turn it off and threw back the covers to stagger into the bathroom. So started each day of his hum drum life of the last three years, get up, go to work, come home, make dinner, watch some television, and then go to bed and do it all over again.
This morning, however, was a bit different. As he walked out of the bathroom he saw that he was late for work, which never happened. Tyler quickly grabbed his things and ran out the door. He unlocked his car's door as he raced across the front lawn to his car and jumped in.
As he was driving down his street he reached over to turn on the radio and saw that the clock told him it was only seven thirty three, the time he usually got up. Confused he drove back to his house to wait out the time.
As he threw his keys onto the kitchen counter he saw the clock on the microwave and it told him that it was seven thirty seven. He went back into his bedroom and looked at the alarm clock which also told him it was seven thirty seven. Completely baffled he went into his living room and sat down on the couch and turned on his new television.
Flipping through the channels he settled on a news station. The anchors were talking about the odd amount of traffic so early in the morning. Tyler had only been half listening, his mind was wondering if he was going crazy, but he perked up when he heard this
