Voices is a supernatural thriller set in modern day Oakland California. Lea Moore is an up and coming police detective. She enters into a series of conflicts during the investigation of a number of murders that seemingly have no connection, but what Lea does not know is that she is connected in some way to the killer. Lea must find the answers before the killer achieves his goal, the assination of the mayor of Oakland.
There is something going on in Oakland California. The police think that there is a serial killer on the loose. He has murdered a number of its citizens and now he seems to have his sights on the Mayor of Oakland. Detective Lea Moore is Chief Porter's best new detective. She has all the skills and determination that he needs to protect his boss. But the killer has much more on his side. His help comes from a power not of this world. It is ancient. It wants power and it means to get it. But first there is someone who needs to die. The entity that controls Jake Haley is powerful, but it cannot use its power without going through a mortal. It has used Jake to do its bidding and that is to kill the Mayor before he can move up to challange for the U.S. presidency in a future election.
With the help of a parish priest, her partner, and some benevolent voices, Lea moves about the city of Oakland on the trail of Jake Haley. There will be many deaths and much carnage, but in the end good must prevail. We certainly hope so, but the answer lies at the end of this roller coaster ride of a story.
