Heavenly Love

As I sit
And write
Under
a ceiling fan
She plants
A kiss
Upon my brow

And her lips
Turn my blood
Into purple petals
Cascading
Free falling
Wonder
Whirling
Into soft pools
Of light

There are vistas
Of rainbows
Lying fallow
In the depths
Of my heart

Refrain

Her lips again:
Purple stained
Hyacinth
Lost
Wind chimes
Tinkling

I close
My eyes
And wait
For psyche
To lift me
Into heaven
