I am an ordained minister of 42 years and just recently "retired" to become more involved in mission work.  I "retired" from  the Divine Hope Church  in Oakland, MD, an independent, non-denominational congregation.. I am married to Cathy (for 52 years) and have two sons. Prior to entering into pastoral ministry, I was in managment positions for the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T) and Sears. I was a teaching and counseling pastor, having done over 20,000 hours of pastoral counseling. I was a part-time adjunct instructor at Garrett College teaching Introduction to Communication courses (public speaking) and First Year Experience for incoming freshmen. I am currently a part-time adjunct instructor at Cape Fear Community College teaching ESL, Career Building 101, an intruductory 911 Telecommunicator course and other classes. I am now part of a Board of Trustees for a non-profit, taxe exempt mission ministry named Seeds And Love Together, Inc. (SALT) and do community development work with the Miskito people in the rain forest of northeast Nicaragua. We are involved with agriculture, clean water wells, medical assistance and pastoral training. Over the years I have witnessed first hand the impact that life traumas have on people, much of it negative. Instead of being fulfilled in life, life often seems incomplete and even helpless and/or hopeless. It is this issue that prompted me to co-author my first book. I am currently working on my Doctorate Degree in Pastoral Counseling through Andersonville Theological Seminary.  I am working on a second book on how people can discover their specific purpose in life and find satisfaction making a difference in the lives of others.
