A poem on life's unfolding graciousness and the light of truth that survives the densest fog of this Earth.

Poem Artwork

Far as the fog stretches,
to inception of insidious blanket of deceit,
this bold flame of truth this world calls love will burn.
It shall not be extinguished
by your watery wrath
concealed in patterned prayer
and all you deem
best for me,
   Sacred Thief.

Sweet spark, all-consuming gift
that turns to ash kingdoms we
might have built and love we might have made,
belongs now to an infinite grace,
great I Am unfolding in my heart
laid out like a Way of Suffering
awaiting transformation – a revelation,
mystery,
  Life’s Relief.

From vast wasteland and all
that has been denied emerges now fierce spirit
bathed in otherworldly light and,
on the occasional morning
a capacity
that sees me through
expanding sea of
endless depths,
   Gracious Grief.

We all have a great capacity to absorb tragedy and move on as your poem so eloquently illustrates.
