As a kid growing up in the 50’s life was always a 20 minute train ride from Yankee Stadium. It was a time of simple pleasures, of growing up slowly. Our “playground” were the streets; we were “street wise”, but not “street kids”. I was brought up with a sense of family, “la famiglia” as my dad would say. Sure, New York City had Mulberry Street, but we had Arthur Avenue…the “Little Italy’ of the Bronx. What better place for a first generation “Italian American” kid to grow up? I truly had the best of both worlds.
Birth Place: New York City (Greenwich Village), NY
Accomplishments: I was the first of my generation to go to collage and earn a degree. My passion was to draw. As a child I would sit at the kitchen table and draw for hours and hours. I followed my passion and became a commercial artist, illustrator and designer. Years later I became an art director, working with many major creative agencies and studios in and around New York City. I later owned my own creative design studio. I’ve won many graphic design and marketing awards, but more importantly I followed my passion.
