Acrostic is a brilliant touch, Cynth'ya. Message rings loud and clear!! With writers of your ability and dedication shouting from the housetops and speedier and more efficient identification of DNA {which both helps save some who were wrongly-accused and prove that capital punishment is a morally indefensible non-deterrent), surely more states will declare it illegal. Not fast enough, but. . .at least help turn the tide. For my part, I will see if I can come up with a piece about capital punishment that, while it won't come up to yours, may give a proponent or two pause. Thanks for pricking my conscience. Heartbreaking; sad when we are getting charged in killing the enemy while the enemy gets off scot free by using their own women, children, the HANDICAPPED as human shields! God help us, this should NOT BE!! We ought to be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this to happen; how about charging the ENEMY with murder?? That's what they are doing when they are killing our brothers and sisters who are only trying to protect us and our freedoms!!

I haven't heard about this, Cynth'ya, but I do know our soldiers are getting charged with murder, when the enemy has no qualms about using their own children, their own women, their own mosques as shields. Damn shame. I will be reading more and letting my voice be heard.
